For the rose, he cuts a small portion of the stem and plants it in the soil. For the sugarcane, he uses a technique where a small segment of the stem with a node is planted. He notices that the new plants produced through these methods are exact copies of the parent plants. However, in his citrus grove, the citrus trees produce seeds, and when he plants them, the resulting plants show some variations.
